The fun never stops! We are open extended hours from 9am – 4pm every weekday during school holidays (10am-4pm on weekends). From full day STEM workshops to live science demonstrations, game coding camps to planetarium shows, there will always be something for everyone!
Our live Science Shows are included in general admission prices. Planetarium shows are an additional charge. In peak busy times such as school holidays, shows can book out.
Please arrive early to avoid disappointment. Show tickets are unable to be reserved and are issued on a first come, first served basis from Reception. Extra shows may be added on busy days.
Doors open 10min prior to the start of all shows and close promptly at the scheduled time. There is no late admission to planetarium shows.
Mini Makers STEM Days (ages 6-12)
During school holidays we will be running our popular STEM days for ages 6-12! Running for a full day, children will enjoy an action packed day of science, technology, engineering and maths activities. Learn about prototyping and the engineering design process. A must for all mini makers, tinkerers and inventors!
With sessions including Construct it Challenge, Flight Academy, Extreme Engineering and Theme Park Designers there is something to inspire a future in STEM and entertain your daughter or son these school holidays. Limited places will be available so book early to avoid disappointment.
COST: $100 per child per STEM Day (discounted rate of $90 per child per day for Science Space members)
Our most popular STEM Day! Attention all junior aviators! Explore the amazing effects of air and wind in a full day of flight-tastic fun. Invent a flying machine to test in a vertical wind tunnel, design the ultimate paper plane and launch your very own rockets outside.
Learn about life hacks and design prototypes. Will your egg survive being dropped from a 2 story height? Build 3D lolly structures and solve real life engineering problems using K’nex and other maker materials.
Calling all future engineers! Take part in an action packed day of extreme engineering challenges! What impact do natural disasters have on buildings? Build the tallest tower possible and design different structures that can withstand the powerful effects of tornadoes and earthquakes.
Theme Park Designers
For all aspiring theme park designers. Learn the science behind your favourite thrill rides! Construct a cable car, design and build a working rollercoaster and invent your own mini ‘human’ catapult ride to take home.
CIY Coding Camps (ages 7-17)
Science Space proudly hosts the CIY Coding Camps again these school holidays. Learn the basics of computer coding, website design, graphics and game creation. For beginner and intermediate coders alike.
