Weekends at Science Space

Weekends at Science Space are awesome! The fun never stops, every weekend we are open from 10am – 4pm with a jam-packed schedule of live Science Shows and Planetarium screenings for the whole family.

Planetarium

Gasp at the wonders of the universe in the most digitally advanced and largest Planetarium in NSW. Watch day turn into night as you explore stars and constellations in an out of this world experience!

Science Shows

We keep the curious minds questioning as we uncover the wonders of the weather, the human body, giant bubbles and levitating magnets in our Science Theatre. Science Space brings the facts to life through our interactive Science Shows.

Interactive Exhibits

Our exhibition space consists of over 100 hands-on exhibits which demonstrate science, engineering and technology in action. Spread across two floors, we have exhibits on dinosaurs, fossils, illusions, motors and electricity, to challenge even the most logical minds.

A ticket to Science Space is a ticket to the world. We offer a range of ticket and membership types to make sure you and your mini makers get the best of what the universe has to offer.

Location and opening hours

Science Space is located on the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus. While you're here, cool off at one of Wollongong's 17 beaches, 60 new small bars and cafes and make your way home along the world famous Grand Pacific Drive. Science Space is open every day  from 10am to 4pm. Closed Wednesdays during NSW school terms.
