What's on

The Makerspace at UOW Science Space is one of four Maker Spaces operated by the University. Our creative space provide ‘makers’ from all corners of the community, both new and experienced, with access to tools, equipment and training. We foster an inclusive, vibrant, supportive and exploratory environments for all in the community who are interested in creating, repairing inventing, tinkering or learning-by-doing.

UOW Science Space Maker Space is open to the public providing themed workshops and general maker sessions for individual projects. Our workshops are for individuals and groups and aim to introduce various making techniques like laser cutting, 3D printing, electronics, textiles and more. The UOW Maker Space also runs general maker sessions for those wanting to come in and use the equipment or space, much like a gym. We have friendly staff on hand to teach you how to operate the machines and make sure you are comfortable getting started.
